Seisnode has undertaken to certify its Ocean Bottom Nodes (OBN) according to the relevant criteria set by the United Nations Manual of Tests and Standards for the Transport of Dangerous Goods”, otherwise known as UN38.3 Certification.

The independent certification firm Kiwa has been selected to provide the rigorous testing in short circuit, vibration, temperature & pressure cycling and collision shock to ensure Seisnode products not only meet, but exceed the transport safety requirements set out by the United Nations, US Department of Transportation and IATA. Testing has already begun at the Kiwa Kaufbeuren facility in Germany and is on track to complete certification by Q3 2023.
